open space is a way of conducting a meeting with people who have different goals.

the MC or host starts the meeting by giving everyone a few minutes to prepair a statement to the group about what they want to learn or work on.

everyone makes a brief 2 minute explanation of what they want to work on and where they will be.

the MC or host may give each person or group a sign.

groups split up. if many people want to talk about the same subject they can do that, if someone wants to read a book they can go to the book, if someone wants to play a game they can play the game.

it is explitly ok to go to another group or switch groups.

at the end of the meeting each group does an up to 5 minute report on what they learned.

there is a book called open space.
